The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L 559 15s. Messrs Driver, Stewart, and Co. sold to-day by public auction, 9a. ‘Jr. 2Gp. of suburban property, part of section 27, North-East Valley, fenced in and having a frontage to the main road, for the sum of Ll2O. The bidding, which started at L2CO, was animated. The quarteracre sections at Purtobello —only a few of which were sold when we went to Press —realised an average of Ll2. They sold readily. A. Mercer reports for the week ending Nov, 22 ; retail prices only : —Fresh butter, in prints, best quality, 9d to lOd per lb ; second quality, 8d to 9d j>cr lb. fresh butter, in lumps, Sd per lb. Prime new seasons salt butter, in kegs, 8J per lb. Cheese, Is per 11>. Side and rolled bacon, 9d to lOd per lb. Beef hams, 7d to 8d per lb ; boiled beef hams, 9d per lb. Colonial hams, Is to Is 2d per lb English hams, Is 8d per lb. Eggs Is 2d per dozen.
