A good start was effected, Tamburini and Calumny making the running, with Malvina in close attendance. Half way round Batter pulled up lame, Tamburini was not good enough to stay the pace, and fell back, Envy taking her place with Malvina and Calumny in the leading division. Turning into the straight, Calumny set to work to overhaul Malvina, but the weight evidently told, and she was unable to catch her, Malvina winning by a length and a half, Envy third, Tamburini fourth.
