THE FIRST CHURCH.
To the Editor. Sir, —This congregation is without a pastor this week to minister to them in holy things. I believe the celebrated Dr Lang, of Sydney, has just arrived by the Albion. Might Ibe allowed, through the medium of your journal, to suugest to the managers of the First Church the propriety of waiting, by deputation, upon the minister of the First Presbyterian Church of Sydney, with a request that he would kindly officiate next Sabbath in the Dunedin First Church.— I am, &c., J. G. S. Grant. Dunedin, Sept. 3.
