The Spec, topsail schooner, dropped down with the ebb tide this morning. She is bound for Havelock. The collier Thomas and Henry expects to sail this evening for Newcastle. She takes a number of passengers. . The barque Black Watch, consigned to Neill and Co., from Batavia, with the Whirlwinds rssengers, left on April 9th. Part of her cargo for Sydney. „ , , ~ , A barque was signalled to the southward early this morning, and the Geelong proceeded down; but up to tho time of our despatches leaving, her number had not been hoisted. She will very likely be the Southern Cross, from Hobart Town. , „ The Lady Bird, for the North, sails this evening, and the Paterson to-morrow. The New Zealand Company’s steamer Lady Bird arrived in Port at 1.30 p.m. yesterday, and steamed alongside the pier. She reports leaving the Manukau oh the 20th at 5 p.m.; arrived at Taranaki at 7.30 a.m. on the 21st; Bailed at noon the same day, and arrived at Nelson at 5.30 a.m. on the 22nd; sailed at 3 p.m. the same day, and arrived at Picton at 130 a.m. on the 23rd; sailed at 5 a.m., and arrived at Wellington at 10 a.m. ; sailed at 6.40 p.m. the same day, and arrived at Lyttelton at 4.30 a.m. on tho 25th ; sailed at 1.30 p.m. the same day, and arrived at Port Chalmers as above.
