PORT CHALMERS REGATTA.

To the Editor.

Sir, —Notice having been given to the public in the daily papers that the ship Euterpe was kindly placed at the disposal of the Regatta Committee, by Captain Phillips, as flagship, can you inform me of the reason of the extraordinary want of courtesy shown to Captain Phillips, who, to his own inconvenience, so kindly placed the ship at their disposal. It is to be hoped that should there be another regatta, the Committee appointed will show a little more taste aud courtesy in their proceedings.—l am, &c., True Blue. Port Chalmers, May 26.
