CITY POLICE COURT.
Saturday, May 17. (Before E. ff. Ward, and J. Black, Esqs., J.P.’s.)
Drunkenness. —Henry Smith, for this offence, was mulcted in the sum of ss. Destitute Children.—Arthur Richards, Sarah Ann Richards, and George Richards, were charged with being neglected children. The father appeared, and said that as he was a widower, he was desirous of having the children sent to the Industrial School, and he would pay the expense of keeping them there. The Bench was of opinion the application could not bo entertained, and recommended the applicant to represent his case to the Benevolent Society.
