' Eflfdrta are being made to amalgamate the tjiree Christchurch poating Clubs, so as to form one strong Club.

Mr David Graham, a very old settler, is dead.
Naseby, May 15. Achild, while being conveyed by its mother from Hyde to Naseby for medical opinion died in the, coach yesterday. The father, while returning to Hyde on horseback, was thrown from his horse, near to the place where it is alleged the child died, and re ceived serious injuries, several of his rib; being broken. Ho is not expected to recover, and was taken to the Hospital.
