The following comparative return of the quantity and value of gold exported from the several Provinces for the March quarters of 1872 and 1873 has been published 1873. 1872.

Totals - 194,422 154,997

Of the quantity exported during the quarter just ended 70,942 ozs were sent to Great Britain; 23,126 ozs to New South Wales; 97,492 ozs to Victoria; and 2,486 ozs to China. Otago sent 55,781 ozs to the United Kingdom; 16,719 ozs to Victoria; and 2,486 ozs to China.
