THE VOLUNTEERS.
The seventh competition for the challenge cup of the Anderson’s Fay Contingent, D.N. Brigade, took place yesterday morning, at the Anderson’s Bay llange. Conditions : —Five shots at 400, 500, and 600 yards respectively; Wimbledon targets; Hytbe position. The highest score was made by Gunner Geo Brown, with 45 points; Gunner Thos. Dobbie, second, with 42.
DUNEDIN RIFLE CLUB.
The 17th, and first of the fourth series of the Dunedin Rifle Club’s matches took place at the North Dunedin and Anderson’s Ray ranges, on Saturday last. There was a large number of competitors, and some very fair scores were made. The weather, especially at the North Dunedin range, was remarkably good for shooting purpores. The ranges and conditions were :—Seven shots each at 200 and 500 yards; Wimbledon targets and positions. The following are the ten highest scorers, jse first seven being prize-takers
