THE MAYOR’S COURT.
To the Editor.
Sir, —I have to apologise to you and the public for not performing the promise made in my letter appearing in your paper to-day ; for although 1 have devoted to the subject all the time I could spare from other business, I have been unable to complete my figures in time for this issue. The statement will, however, be completed to-morrow, and I shall ask you to do me the favor of publishing it in your Wednesday’s issue —1 am, &c,, H. S. Fish, Jun.
Dunedin, March 17. P.S.—I may, however, take this opportunity of stating that the Town Clerk has to day informed me that he pointed out to Or. Ramsay the errors which I conceived he had made in the statement furnished that gentleman ; and this being so, the Town Clerk strictly performed his duty. ' ■' H. S. F.
