To the Editor.
Sir, —The Rev. Mr Reid writes in your issue of last evening : *' Will Mr Peebles answer my one query, viz., Did not Jesus of Nazareth teach the personality of the devd, and the eternal punishment of the wicked?” I answer emphatically —No ! If the Kev, Mr Reid believes that Jesus taught the personality of the devil, and future endless punishment, will he give the evidences ? —I am, &.c., J. M. Peebles.
