The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, Avas L 1,335 7s 3d.
A. Mercer reports for the Aveck ending Bth March (retail prices only) -Fresh butter, in Mb and 11b prints, best quality, lid to Is per lb; second quality, I.od to lid per lb ; fiesh butter, in lumps, Dd ; powdered and salt do, Md to lOd. Tlio supply of fresh butter hastallen off to some extent, but the market is well supplied : and some of the storekeepers arc salting down their surplus quantities. Several inquiries have been made for salt butter in kegs, but holders decline selling excepting for present orders ; for prime samples, l>d to lOd per lb. There is a good demand for cheese, and prices arc looking up ; good quality, fid per lb ; side and rolled bacon, !>d to 10d per lb (scarce) ; Colonial hams, Is to Is Id per lb; English do, Is (id, but none in the market. Eggs are a little more plentiful, and selling at Is (id per doz.
