The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L 214 3« 2d.

New wheat is now being offered. Several sales have been made at os, for immediate delivery. A few hundred bushels brought os 3d at auction on the wharf. Buyers are, however, operating sparingly, as they expect prices to be very much easier within the next three weeks. Advices from Canterbury st *te that wheat there is expected to come as low ji s 3s 6d to 3s 9d, as soon as the grain is well in and the market full. The quality of the grain already delivered is excellent being quite free from light or sprouted corn. In oats there is not much doing; several parcels of milling have changed hands at 2s and 2s Is ; feeding are at 2s. There are no transactions in barley ; none of the new crop is yet delivered. Malting may be quoted at Os, and inferior at ss. Flour.-The enquiry for good brands in this article has been brisk. For old flour sales are limited, the price being at Ll4, for flour made from new wheat. Several lots of twenty tons each have b en sold at Ll3; a lower rate than this may soon be expected. Secondclass flour, dull, LXO 10s; bran, L 4 ; pollard, L 5 10s; Oatmeal, Lll 10s ; pearl barley, L 2 4; hay, L 3 5s ; straw, L2 ; chaff, L 3 10s. A. Mekceb reports for the week ending Bth February, retail prices only Fresh butter, in half and pound prints, best quality, lid per lb ; second quality, !M to 10d per lb. Fresh butter, in lumps, 8d per lb. Powdered and salt butter, lid per lb. The supply of fresh butter has fallen off very considerably, although the markets are all well supplied and the storekeepers have not to salt down the quantities they were doing lately. The prices have advanced a little, and several inquiries have been made for salt butter in kegs, and the most of the trade are only supplying present orders at 8d per lb, holding their stocks for better prices. Cheese is not so plentiful this season, and the quality is not so good as usual. For best quality, 9d per lb ; old cheese, quite unsaleable. Side and rolled bacon scarce, aijd for good qnaiity, 9d to lOd per lb; Colonial hanja, Is to Is Id per lb; English hams, Is 6d per lb. Eggs are a little more plentiful, and selling at la fld per doaen.
