The ketch Flying Squirrel came in yesterday from Kakanui. and brings sixty bales of wool for transhipment to the Christian M'Ausland. She leaves again this evening. Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood and Co s steamer Alhambra came in this morning at 11 a.m. from Melbourne via Bluff Harbor, and hauled alongside the Railway Pier astern of the Ferndale. The Alhambra left Hobson’s Bay on the Ist February, at 3 p.m.; paused Swan Island the following day at (i p. m.; arrived at the Bluff on the 6th, at 7 p.m., and experienced fine weather, ■with N.E. winds ; left the Bluff on the 7th at 5 p.m., and arrived at Port Chalmers as above, and experienced a strong northeaster with heavy sea the whole of the way.
