EUROPEAN CABLE TELEGRAMS.
To the Editor. Sir, —Last evening’s Star, in relation to the Ministerial changes, on the 9th iust., in the French Cabinet, has it—“ It is believed that these changes will terminate in a crisis ”; whereas this morning’s Otago Daily Times has it, that “ It is believed that these changes will terminate the crisis.” As a personal correspondent with the temporarily suspended “ Empcreur,” and a believer in an early restoration of the Imperial regime, I, like doubtless many French gentlemen resident in the Colony, who sympathise with the Napoleon dynasty, and who desire to be en rapport, ask you which of the two telegraphic versions is the correct one ? It will be a question with the public, that if such contradictory statements occur in the telegraphic announcement of news, which materially affect the momentous future of a great nation, what may take place in matters of leaser moment concerning ourselves 1 —Yours, &c., pro Napoleon. Dunedin, Dec. 19.
