To the Editor. Sir,—l would like to ask through your columus why the Reception Committee are endeavoring to alter the course of the procession as first agreed upon, viz., past the University and Government Buildings, to that of up High street, turning round by Mr Walters’ Occidental Hotel, and thence up Manse street, thus leaving out the widest part of Princes street, where the people could have a good view. I cannot understand the ipotive Np your readers as well $s myself would like to know. —I am, &c,, Dog. Dunedin, 18th Dec., 1867.
