At the last range, Frederic and ' hristie were ties for first place, with one shot each to ge. Christie made an outer and Frederic a centre. The latter therefore takes first prize. Fourth Match. All-Comers Match. — 700 and 800 yards; 7 shots at each range; rifle, sights, pull of trigger, and position, optional. Ist prize, L 5; 2nd prize, L 4 ; 3rd prize, L 3 ; 4th prizL2 ; sth prize, LI. This, the fourth match of the series, took place at the Anderson Bay Butts, at two o’clock, on Saturday afternoon. The live prize-winners used rifles as follows ; Tressider, a Kerr; Wilson, a Metford ; Christie, a Kerr; M‘K*nzie, a Martini Henry; and Lieut. Muir Kerr, Messrs Jamieson and Taylor, used the ordinary Government rifles, and made splendid practice with them, while Messrs Cato and luller used the Martini Henry weapon without the deduon sight, and likewise proved themselves masters of the implement. There were a considerable number of visitors present during the afternoon, some of whom displayed their bad taste by making remarks on the shooting more calculated to upset the competitors than assist them.
