THE VOLUNTEERS.

The half-yearly meutiuy o£ the NtortL Dunedin Rifles was held at their drill shed, last evening, about forty members being present. 'The balance-sheet of the Treasurer showed the Company to be in a very nourishing condition. Captain Copeland shortly addressed the meeting, and complimented the corps on their position as <o cliieioncy, and stated that according to numbers their attendance at preliminary drills (as pub lished) bad exceeded any other Company in the Colon}'. Arrangements were made for class firing, and Captain Copeland promises a medal to the highest aggregate scorer. Lieat, Leary gave one last year, which was won by Volunteer J. E. Hutchinson.
