THE OPERA COMPANY.
The Open* Company is to open in the Choral Hall, Auckland, this evening. The English portion of tho company has not, as was intended, come to this Colony ; but the company has nevertheless, been materially strengthened. The addition of the charming prime duniu:, Signore Bosisio and Boboldi, and Signor Gamboa, ought to make it the strongest organisation we have seen here. The company knows not Graudi, that prince of opera bouffe, nor Tournerie, whose Figaro in the Barber of SiiyjjV will |w easily i orgottep,' The Arrangements for the first week are sketched ru a private letter to a gentleman in this office ; and as the same rule will he followed here, we give them i —Opening, “Lucia de Lammermoor ; second night, “ Lucrest a Borgia;” third, “Faust;” fourth, “ Un Ballo in Maschcra fifth, “ Norma sixth, Meyerbeer’s “ L’Africaiue.” The company will leave Auckland on the Ist of December, play two weeks in Kelson, two weeks in Wellington, three Wteks in Christchurch, and proceed thence to Dr.uearn, where they e,..,00t to arrive about the biiddle of 1 January. ’" The'y leave Auckland so soon because of Chir.rini’s Circu«, wbi-h is expected in that city hy the Dacotoh.
