AN EXPLANATION.
To the Editor . Sir,—l read in this morning’s paper that a fire occurred underneath my premises. I beg leave to contradict that statement, as my premises are on the opposite side of the street. The place where the fire occurred is a lumber shop for the whole of the Arcade tenants. Hoping the Daily Times will be more cautious in its assertions for the future, —I am, Ac., Nathan Hart, Dunedin, Nov. 18, 1872.
