HONOR TO WHOM HONOR IS DUE.

To the Editor. Sir, —Noticing in your last evening’s paper that the Committee of the Benevolent Institution tender their sincere thanks to certain donors, amongst whom I observe “ J. N. Watt, Esq., as Sheriff, in re Nutter v. Pritchard, L 5,” 1 beg leave to observe, though not rinding fault with the Committee for thanking the latter gentleman for having obeyed the order of bis Honor the Judge, that the thanks are due to Mr Saunders, who paid the L 5 into Court as being tendered to him as a bribe.—Yours, &c,, H. J.JP. Dunedin, Nov. 2, 1872.
