Sir, — A local appeared in last night’s issue of the Star, confering on me the honor of membership of the Dunedin School Committee. As this mark of esteem has been made without my consent, I must respectfully decline it, having neither the time nor the inclination to attend to the duties pertaining to the office.—l am. &c.
