THE VOLUNTEERS.

A match between the No. 1 Company (City Cuards) and the Anderson’s Bay division of the IS'aval Brigade, nine men aside, was fired this morning, at the Ocean Beach range ; the match being the result of a challenge from the Naval to No. 1 Company. The weather was favorable for shooting, there being no wind. The conditions were —Ranges, 200, 500, and 600 yards ; no sighting shots ; five shots at each range ; Wimbledon targets. As will he seen by the scores attached, the Guards are the winners by 32 points. The tenth man on either side not putting in an appearance at the commencement of the match, it waa agreed to go on without them.

Average ... 34 8-9. Majority for the City Guards, 32.
