This Day, (Before His Worship the Mayor and R. H. Leary, Esq., J.P.)
DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. Porteous Watson, was fined 40s, or 24 hours’ hard labor.
VAGRANCY. Ellen (lately, was lined 40s, or 7 days’ hard labor.
MINOR CASES. Thomas Mitchell, for allowing three cows to stray, was lined 2s 6d. William Barnes, for a similar offence, was fined in the same amount. James Ferguson, for allowing water to run to waste, 2s (id. Francis Tracey, allowing a cow to wander ; Norman Wood, neglecting to remove building material; James Diggings, riding his horse across the footpath ; Archibald. Fletcher, driving on the footpath; and Samuel Bjpown, causing obstruction in front of the Custom House, were all dismissed with a caution.
