MAYOR’S COURT.
Tins Day. (Before His Worship the Mayor and R. H. Leary, Laq., J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. John Brady, alias Gray, was fined 40s or seven days’ imprisonment. A-SAULT. Joshua Eccles, charged with beating his child aged seven dalys, was let ©ff with a caution. No evidence was given. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. John Hander-on, for using obscene language towards one James Pringle, at Caversham, was discharged, the evidence for the defence completely nullifying that of the complainant, which was unsupported. Hoffman v. James Russell and Thomas Montague. The defendants were each fined 20s, including professional costs, or in default, 24 hours’ imprisonment.
