PLUMMER’S ESCAPE.

To the Editor. My Dear Mr Editor —l always read your paper, but I have not written anything for publication in that valuable journal before, so please insert this letter. Now, Mr Editor, although ITummer escaped fr m the warders at his work the other day, I fear his next escape will be from the gaol, if precautionary measures are not taken, and as I reside in the neighborhood whe e that daring thief spent his time when at large, 1 am in fear in case he may escape again. Might I therefore suggest that the Government Inspector of Works be at once instructed to make such alterations in the gaol buildings as to ensure Plummer’s safe custody. My husband says the Inspector is clever, and I know he can build good bridges, for I used to see him at that work dowuhere, but if Mr Millar, F S. A, is better at house alterations, as I saw lately by your paper, by all means let him be employed to alter the gaol. Please insert this and you will greatly oblige A Mother of a Family. Pelichet Bay, 17th Aug., 1872.
