Tiiis Day. (Before His Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. John Connor was discharged with a cauti m ; John Briggs, James Smith, Wil iam Connolly, and Charles Allen were each fined ss. BYE-LAW CASES. Cases against Robert Neale, leaving his ho: se and express waggon unattended in Princes street, and Isaac Cadzlie, crossing the footpath in Stafford street with his horse, were adjourned till to-morrow. Patrick O’Brien and Alfred Hellyer, allowing their chimneys to take fire, 2s (id each ; Wm. Speedy, crossing the footpath in Great King street with a horse and dray, 2s 6d and costs ; Henry Spears, similar offence in Hanover street, 2s (id ; F. A, Reekie, leaving his horse unattended, 10s and \ costs. Oases against Thomas Wood, Charles Lockhart, and Donald Manson were dismissed. BREACH OF THE LICENSING ORDINANCE. Job Wail), sen., was charged with permitting gambling in his licensed house, the Royal Hotel. The offence was allowing a raffle to take place in the house. The defendant was fined Is,
