MAYOR’S COURT.
Tins Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. James Kelly, for the above offence, was fined 5s ; David Tupper, 10s; and John Curran, ss. LARCENY. Charles Newman was charged, on warrant issued by the Oamaru Bench, with stealing a quantity of copper and brass bolts, the property of Thomas Eichman, of Oamaru. — Remanded to Oamaru. VAGRANCY, Susannah Phillips for using abusive language in Walker street on the Gth inst., was fined 20s, or, in default, forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. Edvvd. Koche, contractor, was fined 2s 6d and costs for neglecting to keep a sufficient light burning during the night near a certain quantity of building material laid by him in High street. Archibald Miller was fined 2s Gd for neglecting to provide his licensed cab with a proper light in the evening.
