WASTE LAND BOARD.

This Day. The Waste Land Board met at noon today, present, Messrs Reid (in the Chair), Duncan, Hughes, and Bathgate. Peter Howard’s application for a coal lease, to be issued In his name, he having purchased his partner Hill’s interest, was granted. The land applied for by E. Aymes, at the Puteka Bush Reserve, was agreed to be put , up to auction, with survey fees added at 21s per .icrc. The memorandum of the Harbor Master on Mr Fenwick’s application} to buy 10 acres of the Light-House Reserve, Oamaru, was referred to the Warden for report, as was also Michael Minaghan’s offer to buy a vacant piece of land at Lawrence. Thos. Johnston’s application to purchase 10 acres of Akatore Bush Reserve was agreed to. The land to be surveyed at applicant’s cost, and put up at 21s an acre, with cost of survey added. _ George Ludetnan’s application for a reduction of his license fee to L 3, was declined. Richard Allen’s application for a lease of 20 acres of Clinton Township, was referred for report to the District Ranger. Connell and Hoodie’s application for Thos. Br-sosa to have C3rtain sections at Akatore put up for saleat 10s an acre, was granted. Richard Craig’s application to purchase an island m the Taieri was potsponed.
