The amount of revenue received at the Cub tom-house on Roods cleared for consumption to-day, was £420 IDs 9J. Quotations for flour are unaltered, (food town brands are worth LI2 10s to Ll3 per ton, but the inquiry is only for present wants, the bakers, in prospect of a fall iu the price, not being inclined to stock. There is a probability of this article becoming much higher, as there will be a scarcity of barley this season. Bran is unsettled in the price; the town millers are not sending out much, which keeps the value at present rates. Good lots may be quoted at L 4, without bags. Pollard is scarce, and is saleable at L 4 10. Potatoes are in better supply. Australian samples are offered at L 8 10 5 to L 9 ; provincial grown are worth LlO. Of milling wheat there is none in the market. For small lots the millers have been giving 4s Gd to 4s Bd, but this is only to keep up trade requirements. Oats are very dull; milling kinds cannot be sold over 2s to 2s 2d. Feeding is at Is lOd to 2s. Barley is wanted for malting, and for good samples 4s 3d to 4s 6d would be given. Feeding lots are not enquired after—for some the value is about 2s per bushe 1 . fetraw, L2 10s ; hay, L 3 15s; chaff, L 3 10. A. Mercer reports for the week ending February 24 Itetail prices—Fresh butter, in slb. and 11b. prints, best quality, Is per lb. ; second quality, lOd per lb. ; butter in lumps, 9d per lb; powdered and salted butter, 9d per lb. The usua weekly quantity of butter brought into the market has fallen off very considerably, hence the sudden rise in the prices. The cheese market is very dull, and market completely! gutted; for best quality, 6d to 8d per lb. ; second quality, 5d to Gd per lb. Side and rolled bacon, best quality, 9d to lOd per lb. Colonial hums, lid to Is per lb. English cheese and hams almost unsaleable, and selling at Is 4d per lb. Eggs are scarce, and selling at Is Sd per dozen.
