The ship Peter Denny for London, with a full cargo of wool, preserved meats, &c., was to-day ready for sen. The strong N.E. wind to-day might probably cause her detention until Monday next. The ship E. P. Bouverie would complete her homeward cargo to-day and is expected to sail on Monday next for Loudon. The s.s. Alhambra for Melbourne, via Northern Ports, sailed last even ng with passengers, cargo, and mails, The passengers, per ship Jessie Readman, that arrived at the lower anchorage yesterday from London, were this morning conveyed to Dunedin by the p.s Golden Age. This ship has come into port in fine order, is commanded by Capt. btrachan, and has made a splendid passage of 84 day- - . The brigantine Ottawa, that recently arrived from Lyttelton, is in the Floating Dock, receiving the usual periodical overhaul. The p.s. Peninsula was yesterday placed on Isbister’s slip for cleaniug and painting purposes.
