KING STREET ACCIDENT.
To the Editor. Sir, — Being an eye witness to the accident which befell the man Morris in King street yesterday morning, I think bis sincere and heartfelt thanks are due to Mr Wright, grocer, and others in the neighborhood, who so kindly assisted in having the poor fellow removed to the hospital, where medical aid was at once rendered. Were it not for the energy displayed by those men, the matter might have assumed a different aspect. I am, &c., Integrity. [Our correspondents letter concluded with a complaint against the policeman on the beat, which if true, should be brought under the notice of the Commissioner of Police. Our rule is never so allow our columns to be made the nieans foj- attacking individuals whose official position debars them from replying.—Ed, E.S. ]
