RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
This Day, (Before A. C. Strode, Esq., R.M.) Civil Oases. Hyde v. Began.—LG for money lent. Judgment by default for the amount with costs. Fraser v. Munyard.—LG 3s 9d., a claim for balance of wages at 11s Gd a week. The defendant said that the wages agreed on were 10s a week and there was also a set off. Judgment L 4 11s and costs. Josliug v. 0. Moore. —Lll 10s. Mr Hodgkins was for the defendant. This was a claim for the value of goods unlawfully detained. It was admitted that the goods were in possession of the defendant, and that they would be given up on application by the plaintiff. Mr Hodgkin s applied for an adjournment on the ground of surprise, which was agreed to. The case was adjourned until Wednesday.
PAAVNBROKERS* LICENSE. A pawnbrokers’ license was granted to Michael Levy.
