The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for cons imp tion to-day, was £273 14s sd. The demand for flour has greatly increased this week. The millers generally are not prepared to quit parcels on account of stocks being low and of the scarcity of good lots of wheat. The trade is supplied at LI3 per ton in sacks. For inferior flour there is an improvement in the sale, at from LlO to LI I per ton. Oatmeal is steady, at L 1.3 10s. Pearl barley quiet, and only wanted in trade lots at Ll7 IDs. Bran is very scarce, and may he quoted at L 3 ; pollard at L 4. For good milling wheat there are buyers at 5s to 5s 3d ; the quantity available is very small, and transactions havo consequently been light; second class is offered at 4s to 4s 6d. Fowl wheat is in demand at 3s 3d. Oats are dull; milling kinds may be had at 2s to 2s 2d; feeding at Is lOd to 2s. Malting barley is saleable at 3s 9d ; for feeding there are no buyers. Hay, L4los ; chaff, L4lss ; straw, L2 10s. A. Mercer reports for the week ending Jan. 13.—Retail prices only : Fresh butter, in 4 and 11b prints, best quality, 7d to Sdper lb ; second quality, 6d per lb ; fresh butter, in lumps, 6d per lb; powdered and salt butter, 7d per lb. Although large quantities of butter are still coming in every week, there has been a falling-off in the quantity on account of the dry weather. Cheese is still very plentiful, and the market dull; for the best quality 6d to Sd per lb, and for second quality 5d to 6d per lb. Side and rolled bacon, 9d to lOd; and Colonial hams, Is per lb. English hams, as well as English cheese, is almost unsaleable, at Is 4d per lb. Eggs are very plentiful, and selling at lOd to Is per dozen.
