MAILS CLOSE — Tuesday, January 2, 18/2. For Oamaru, per p. s. Wallace. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per s.s. Taranaki, at 10.30 a.m. Monday being New Years Day, this office will be closed, and all country mails usually despatched on that day will ho made up on Saturday evening, at 8 p.va. ARCH BARK.
