MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before His Worship the Mayor.) WIFE DESERTION. Goo. Godfrey, charged with wife desertion at Oamaru, was remanded far a week ; and admitted to bail on his own recognisance. ASSAULT. Arch. Blew, for assaulting James Wilson, was fined 20s and costs. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAW'S. Edward Brown, for neglecting to keep his premises clean, and John Cochrane, for obstructing the carriage way in High street, were mulcted in costs; and Robert Allen was fined Is and costs for allowing cows to wander.
