(FROM OREVTLLE’S TELEGRAM COMPANY, * reuter’s agents.) Christchurch, October 30. The body of Maltha Howroyd, wife of John Howroyd, who works at Wellington, was found in the river Avon this morning. Westport, October 30. The Alpine Company obtained 82ozs. of melted gold from 33 tons of stone. The Maid of Erin, which left Sydney on the 21st, reports that the injuries to the Nevada from collision, are such as to heighten the probability that the barque with which she came into collision foundered. The barque is believed to have been coal laden, from Newcastle to New Zealand.
