(from our own correspondent.) Wellington, October 19. The Law Practitioners Act Amendment Bill, the object of which is to reinstate Mr Smytbies, has been read a third time. The Colonial Industries Committee have presented a valuable report. The Licensing Act Amendment Bill passed its second reading without a dissentient voice. The Married Women’s Property Bill, the Oamaru Dqck Trust Bill, and the Imprisonment for Debts Abolition Bill passed through Committee. The motion, made in Committee, for leave to introduce the Wellington Loan Bill was carried by 31 to 28. Messrs Stafford aud Gillies strongly opposed the motion, which was supported by Ministers. The debate, which was very accrimouioua, concluded at 3 a.in. to-day. The Goldfields Committee reported to-day, recommending that the Gold Mining Districts Bill and the Gold Mines Drainage Bill should he passed, aud that delegated powers be withdrawn.
