The amount of revenue received at the Cue* tojnthonse on goods cleared for consumption t i-day, was £S3J Os 7d, As transactions in breadstuff's have been entirely confined to small trade this week, there is scarcely any change to report in the prices. Flour is quiet, sales of best brands Are made to the bakers at LI4 ; inferior qualities may be hod from L 9 to L 12 ; but f>r this kind there is only a very limited sale. Bran is plentiful and alow of sale, the value at present isL2 15s toL3, exclusive of bags. Pollard is in better supply, although not overstocked. Wheat is scarcely so firm, prime milling is offered in small lots, which have changed hands at Ds 3d to 5s Oil. Oats —milling samples are scarce, the farmers will not place good lots in the market while the present low price rules ; feeding is only in Iride demand. Barley is unchanged, there oemg no sale. A. Mercer reports for the week ending Sept. 9,—Retail prices only : Fresh butter, in lumps and prints, Is to Is 2d per lb, and the market is getting well supplied, and prices still on the decline. Salt butter, best, is per lb ; butter in kegs—there has been a little improvement since last week for only first-class samples. Cheese very plentiful, and the market glutted, best quality, 6d to 81 per lb. Side and rolled bacon, 9d to lOd par lb. Colonial hams, Is per lb ; English hams, Is 4d to Is 6d per lb. English cheese. Is Id per lb, but very little sold. Eggs in great demand, and tilling at Is per down.
