This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. Alex. M’Milne was discharged with a caution. .Robert Dewitt and Richard Johnson were each fined ss. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. Elizabeth Birmingham was fined 40s or three days imprisonment. THEFT. The investigation of the charge of stealing a watch preferred against Charles Robertson, alias Gallagher, was further adjourned for a week. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. James Muir was fined 5s and costs for allowing cattle to wander ; Emanuel Lyons and Arthur Beverly 2s 6d and costs each, for allowing the chimneys of their respective houses to take fire.
