Christchurch, August 29, At a public meeting at Prebbleton last night, it was resolved to petition the Assembly to impose a protective duty on grain, in consequence of the action of the Victorian Government. Blenheim, August 29. Mr Lovegrove’s eldest child was drowned yesterday at Kekerangu.
