CANTERBURY'S CATHEDRAL.

Slovot, last Saturday 1 noticed the following, “ The Grand Canterbury Cathedral (say the Wellington Post) has come to a most ignominious en l .” This statement is not correct, for, at the Synod lately held at Christchurch, this resolution was carried : “That a select committee be appointed to coll ct i ifonnation, and. to report upon the best means in the Province for ? the ejection of a portion of the Cahedr 1 upein thepresent site as soon as possible. Late Cauterbni’y papers confirm Mr Kdwards’s account, and state the measures that have been adopted' to carry ! ont the recomuiendatioii of the Synod.
