This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. Jenis Metcalffe, Thomas Kendall, Archie ba'd Morrison, Joseph Cripps, and John Davidson, were charged with the above offence, and were fined in various amounts. IMPOSITION. Frederick Jone,s was-charged with endeavoring to impose upon -M r P. Alien of the City Buffet Hotel, a valueless cheque, with the view of obtaining money, and was sentenced < o one month's imprisonment with hard labor. Ris Worship--dis-missed the case, remarking that if a counter summons had been taken out he should have fined both.
