The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £316 Is 4d. Messrs M’Laudress, Hepburn, and Co. offered for sale to-day, at their rooms, Manse street, sections of land in the Township of Melrose. There was a large attendance, and in some instances a most spirited competition ensued. The following are the prices realised : —Noe. ], 2, 7, and 8, .each L 7 5; No. 3, L7O; No. 4. LOO; Nos. 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, and 28, each L4O ; No. 29, L 45 ; Nos. SO and 31, each L6l; and Nos. 32 and S3, L6B.
