(PROM GHKVILLE’s TELEGRAM COMPANY', bkuter’s agents.) Christchurch, July 29. In committee of the whole House, Mr Coster, manager of the Bank of New Zealand, made what is considered to be an able and conclusive statement against the Superintendent’s statement. The Hon. John Hall’s motion, that the Bank claims be referred to a select committee on Mr. Gisborne’s circular regarding reserves along railway lines was withdrawn after a Jong delate. One in favour of a reserve of 50,000 acres was carried.
