MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day, (Before His Worship the Mayor and J, Brown, Esq., J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. Jnlia Solomon, for drunkenness, was fined 20s, or forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. MISCELLANEOUS. Daniel Berry, for keeping his public house open after licensed hours, was lined 40s and costs. An information—Scott v. Gardiola—for illegal detention of property was dismissed. Mr Haggitt appeared for Gardiola. CHARGE or LARCENY. C. Taylor was charged, on the information of Jas. Marshall, of the firm of Marshall and Copeland, with stealing sixteen empty hogsheads, of the value of Ll6. Mr M'Keay appeared for the defence. On his application the accused was remanded to Tuesday. He was admitted to bail—himself in LSO, and two sureties of L 25 each.
