JoJin M‘Donald, alias Colip Christie,' alias Henry Montgouiery, who turns out to* be the ipdivjdu.al whom it was supposed was drowned in the Taieri river op Saturday last, was brought up charged with stealing ah overcoat from the shop door of Mcssri Herbert, Haynes, aud Co,, and on the applica tiou of the police was remanded till Monday. Francis Grennier was sent to gaol for a month, for stealing a decanter from the Oriental Hotel. John Sullivan, charged with stealing a pair of boots from the Gridiron Hotel, received the benefit of the doubt that existed >P his Worship’s mind, and was discharged. ALLEGED ARSON. F, W. Reichelt >799 further remanded till Tuesday.
