Wheeler, commander, arrived in harbor this morning at 9.25 from Wellington and northern ports. Reports having left Onehunga at 3 p.m. on the 18th inst., arrived at Taranaki on the following morning, sailed at 3 p.m. same day, and arrived at Nelson at 7 a.m. on the iStli ; sailed for Picton at 7 a.m. on the 19th, arriving at 3 pm. same day ; sailed one hour later, and put into Bowden's Bay for shelter from 6 p.m. on that day till daylight on the 20th, and arrived nt Woffington at 11 a.m. same day ; sailed for Lyttelton at 0.45 p.m. on Monday, arriving as above. From Manakau to Picton experienced strong S.W. winds and heavy sea ; thence to Wellington, S. E. gale; and from Wellington to Kaikouras northerly winds; thence to Lyttelton head winds and sea; and from Lyttelton to airival strong head winds and heavy sea.
