The ps Wallace, due this afternoon from Oamaru, sails for the Molyneux shortly after arrival. An examination of the entrance and abutments of the new graving dock, was made to-day by means of a diver, but no flaw in ■works, and no cause for the leak was discovered in the parts examined. We understand that the Government diving apparatus was placed in the hands of the contractors, and every assistance givi n, but no diver has been appointed. Mr Stevens, foreman of the graving dock, volunteered his services, and displayed great ability and perseverance m prosecuting the search. The weather has been extremely fine, enabling the work to be carried on to advantage, but nothing is reported to have been disc .vered that would show how the leak originated.
