Wellington, April 17. A telegram was received here to-day from Captain Fairchild, stating that the Luna had arrived at Greymouth this morning. She met with very stormy weather after leaving the Bluff, and was off Martin's Bay three days, but could not land, and had to run for it on account of the gale. The Governor will not he ready to leave Greymouth before Thursday. Alexandra via Auckland, April 10. It is currently reported here that Ilewi, with 70 followers, will shortly

visit Mr M'Lcan in and if they return safe Tawhio will visit him afterwards.

Auckland, April 13. The Easter sports were a great success, and were attended by over 7,000 persons. There was good competition for all the foot races, but all the prizes, amounting to nearly LoO and including three gold cups, were won by Hewitt, Harris, and Bird. The schooner Saucy Lass, which was supposed to have been lost in the last gale, has arrived at Wangarei. There is no appearance of the missing schooner Twilight. The James Paterson loft for the Fijis to-day, with 20 passengers and a full cargo. During the last twenty-four hours the Caledonian mine has brought up 30cwt of rich specimens. Another dividend of Ll'2 is payable on Monday. Shares have advanced to LlO7 10s. Thames Company’s shares are selling at L2O; Tookey’s, at L 8 ; Belfasts, at 375; Junctions, at 40s; dimes, at 9s; and Kuranuis, at 60s.
